Project Summary
In India many families can not afford to give their children English lessons. These children continue on with their education with poor knowledge and understanding of the English language. Volunteers can make a real difference in the lives of these children.

Volunteer responsibilities
As a volunteer you will either be teaching English in a government school, a semi-government school or private school where the class will have an English teacher. If the class has an English teacher you will work as an independent teacher or assist the teacher with the planned English lessons. Volunteers will also play and organize intelligent/fun games, organize art projects, coloring, water color projects, and participate in and organize any other extra curricular activities for the children. Volunteers will aid the children with their homework answering and explaining any concepts the children are not understanding.

Skill/Qualifications
Although you do not have to be a teacher to participate in the Teaching English program, a thorough understanding of the English language is proffered as well as a patient spirit since you will be working mostly with younger children who will require patience, love and understanding.

Room & Board
Volunteering Love arranges room, board and food (3 meals a day) from the beginning of your stay to the completion of your project. Volunteers will stay with a host family/hostel with accommodations including a separate bedroom area specified for volunteers as well as a communal bathroom setting. Volunteering Love employs a local staff near the projects (Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon) allowing a staff member to meet volunteers whenever necessary. Volunteers will have the telephone number to the in-country coordinator as well should any further assistance be needed.
